Top Destinations for Allied Van Lines

Allied Van Lines is one of the world’s largest moving companies and it shows with how many miles Allied has traveled. Over the past six years, Allied has moved consumers and corporations over 421,780, 231 miles. This is equal to 16,937 trips around the globe!

The top destinations are fairly obvious with Texas, California and Florida in the top three. Illinois and North Carolina worked their way into the top five for 2019. The top three shows that people enjoy the warmer weather as those states are consistently in the top destinations for Allied moves.

Allied Van Lines 2019 By The Numbers

• No one wants to move in the cold, so the most popular month to move is June.
• New in 2019 was the most popular moving day. People normally liked to move early in the week so they can be somewhat settled for the weekend. In 2019 that shifted to Friday to take advantage of the weekend and save those vacation days.
• Allied moved over 2.9 billion pounds of consumer goods and personal effects over the past six years. This is equal to over 16,000 fully loaded airplanes.
