Discovering Old San Diego on Foot

In the warm summer months, there is nothing better than walking through the old neighborhoods adjacent to Downtown San Diego.

Start in Hillcrest with a treat at Extraordinary Desserts, make your way to Bankers Hill to explore restored historical homes and continue on to appreciate the many gardens of Balboa Park with a stop at the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

After a visit with the pandas, the journey continues to Seaport Village and a walk along the waterfront with panoramic harbor views. If you still have time, catch a Padres game at Petco Park and end the day with a craft beer from a local brewery in the Gaslamp Quarter.
