How much does it cost to move a pool table in San Diego?
The cost depends on the table size, whether it's slate, stairs or tight turns, distance, and whether you need re-leveling, new felt or storage. Moving a table within the same home costs less than moving it across the county. Send us the details for a free quote.
Can a pool table be moved without taking it apart?
Not safely, if it's a slate table. Slate tables weigh 500–1,000 lbs, and moving one assembled can crack the slate, twist the frame and damage floors and doorways. Proper disassembly, with the slate moved on edge in pads, is the only way to protect it.
How long does it take to move a pool table?
Disassembly usually takes 1–2 hours, and reassembly and leveling take about 2–3 hours, depending on the table. Local moves are usually finished the same day. Long-distance moves follow your household delivery schedule.
Will my pool table need new felt after moving?
Not always. Felt that's in good condition can often be re-used if it's removed carefully. Older, worn or glued-on felt usually tears when it's removed and should be replaced. We'll assess the felt before the move and tell you what to expect.
Do you move pool tables up and down stairs?
Yes. Because the table is disassembled, even heavy slate pieces can be carried safely on stairs by a trained crew with the right equipment. Tell us about stairs, landings and turns when you request your quote, so we send the right team.
